U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) invites applications for Border Patrol Agent (BPA). The role is a full-time federal position within the Federal Law Enforcement Officer family, offering solid base pay, comprehensive benefits, and retention incentives.

Training and academy experience prepare you for diverse field duties across multiple duty locations. New BPA hires may qualify for recruitment and retention incentives, with eligibility based on location and completion of required training.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of immigration and nationality law is required for higher grades.
• Training and certification in use of force and firearms are essential for safe enforcement work.

Mansioni

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Patrol borders and coastal areas using various assets to prevent illegal entry.
• Interpret tracks and evidence to determine potential violations and take action.
• Perform checks on farms, buildings, roads, and transport to ensure security.
• Maintain surveillance and respond to incidents in a timely, professional manner.
