Customs and Border Protection in the United States is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to join a large federal law enforcement workforce. BPAs perform immigration and border security duties, enforce laws, and support the CBP mission with a focus on public safety and national security.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of immigration law and policy, including nonimmigrant classifications and inadmissible noncitizens.
• Familiarity with use of force policy and firearms qualification requirements.
• Understanding of criminal law and procedure in enforcement contexts.

Responsabilités

• Enforce immigration and border laws and inspect documents and belongings as part of routine checks.
• Perform surveillance, deter illegal crossings, and apprehend violators near the border.
• Interpret tracks, evidence, and indicators of illegal entry or contraband.
• Conduct farm/building/traffic and city patrols as part of field operations.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal areas using diverse assets.
