Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions and stay calm under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree OR combination of experience and education.
• Combination of general work experience and education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers using surveillance and field assets.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, and transportation checks and patrol duties.
• Patrol international boundaries and waterways using varied government assets.
