Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband for enforcement actions.
• Patrol assigned areas including checks of farms, buildings, traffic, and transportation routes.
