U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at multiple career levels. The agency provides base pay, federal benefits, and opportunities through recruitment and retention incentives.

Positions are full-time and located across various duty locations within the United States. As a BPA, you will join a large federal law enforcement workforce and contribute to protecting the nation by enforcing immigration and customs laws, conducting inspections, and patrolling borders

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, judgment, and the ability to work under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four‑year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university.
• A combination of experience and education can qualify you for the next grade level.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, and transportation checks in patrol areas.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using government assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
