Job summary

Follett Corporation is seeking a Store Associate to assist with receiving, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to meet customer needs and drive sales. You will help train team members and assume leadership on duty in the Store Manager's absence, including opening and closing responsibilities and safeguarding store assets.

The role requires 1-3 years of related experience, an associate's degree or equivalent preferred, and the ability to lift 25-50 pounds and operate basic computer tasks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Able to consistently walk and stand, lift 25-50 pounds, and move merchandise using proper equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to create and save text documents and to create and send emails.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, price, and stock merchandise to meet store needs and drive sales and profits.
• Assist team members with completing work in the store.
• Ensure training and compliance for team members.
• Act as leader on duty in absence of Store Manager; respond to customer and team concerns.
• Open and close the store; ensure bookstore property and team members are safe and secure.
