Job summary

Books A Million in Newark, DE is seeking a 2nd & Charles Associate who provides friendly, knowledgeable service and assists customers with questions and purchases to create an outstanding shopping experience.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, support merchandising and inventory tasks, ensure store cleanliness, and uphold loss-prevention standards while delivering excellent service daily.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older
• Successful completion of all background screenings

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders; provide efficient cashiering.
• Sell products and participate in Text 2 Mobile Program, Educator programs, and other company-sponsored programs.
• Deliver and place product on the sales floor following merchandising guidelines and timelines.
• Refresh the sales floor during shifts; restock, shelve books, and perform housekeeping tasks as required.
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention standards and acting with integrity in all transactions.
• Perform other duties including assisting in other departments (buyback, receiving shipments, small fixture assembly).
