Job summary

Books A Million in Houma, LA seeks a 2nd & Charles Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and support a seamless shopping experience. You will be knowledgeable about books and merchandise, assist customers proactively, and operate the register efficiently.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling POS transactions, merchandising, stock recovery, and following loss-prevention standards while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders; provide efficient cashiering.
• Sell products and participate in store promotions and programs.
• Stage products on the sales floor according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and reset displays as needed.
• Follow loss-prevention standards and act with integrity in transactions.
• Assist with other duties including inventory, receiving shipments, and department maintenance.
