• Strong communication and client‑service skills.
• EA or CTEC‑Registered Tax Preparer is a plus, but not required.
• Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate books using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Assist with monthly and year‑end financial statements.
• Support payroll, sales tax filings, and general compliance tasks.
• Help clients with bookkeeping questions and workflow improvements.
• Learn firm procedures and gradually take on more advanced responsibilities.
• Assist in preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Help organize tax documents and maintain deadlines.

We’re looking for a Bookkeeping & Tax Associate who has a foundation in bookkeeping and is eager to grow into a broader accounting and tax role. This position is ideal for someone who is detail‐oriented, organized, and motivated to learn our firm’s processes.

What You’ll Do

Bookkeeping & Client Support

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate books using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Assist with monthly and year‐end financial statements
• Support payroll, sales tax filings, and general compliance tasks
• Help clients with bookkeeping questions and workflow improvements
• Learn firm procedures and gradually take on more advanced responsibilities

Tax Support

• Assist in preparing individual and business tax returns
• Help organize tax documents and maintain compliance with deadlines
• Support the team with basic tax‐related tasks (training provided)
• Assist with IRS and state notice responses as needed
