Job Purpose

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll allocations, and reconciliations. This role is essential to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the business.

Job Details

This is a remote (work from home), part-time position scheduled for 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shift times are flexible and can be tailored to fit availability.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work with Senior Management to ensure the accuracy of all ongoing financial data for the effective operation of the business.
  • Enter, process and reconcile all income statement and balance sheet accounts including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and company credit cards in QuickBooks.
  • Update QuickBooks general ledger for all AP, AR and payroll transactions and apply appropriate service and product line allocations.
  • Execute the payment processes, through the bank and Quickbooks, and maintain a calendar of critical payment timing
  • Complete monthly billing and account reconciliation processes.
  • Assist in year-end audit, financial reporting (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow), and annual budget processes.
  • Complete special finance and accounting projects, analysis and maintenance of accounting files as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online accounting software
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when managing financial records and sensitive data.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and team collaboration experience.
  • Organized, trustworthy, detail oriented, and ability to multitask.

What To Expect In The Hiring Process

  • We accept initial applicants through quick-apply, requiring only basic contact information and a current resume. If you are selected to move forward based on these qualifications, you will be asked to meet with a member of our HR team via Microsoft Teams video call for an initial 30-minute interview.
  • Candidates that are selected to move forward are asked to submit a full job application including authorization for background check.
  • Second round interviews will then be conducted with applicants and a Hiring Manager and/or Senior Management at the DriveSafe location or virtually by request.
  • As a pre-employment step, candidates are asked to provide a copy of their 7-Year Motor Vehicle Record to demonstrate safe driving history.
