Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper in Minnesota to manage bookkeeping, payroll, and client services. You will post transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare payroll while supporting client retention and growth initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Xero is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.
