Express Employment Professionals in Jamestown, NY is seeking a Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and process payroll for all employees. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and proficiency with payroll systems, in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle bookkeeping duties, payroll compliance, and communication with staff and vendors; experience with QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex and advanced Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping and payroll processing experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll compliance.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP and Paychex.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and manage ledgers.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits per regulations.
• Maintain payroll records and tax forms (W-2, 941).
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and ensure compliance.
