About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a fully remote, high-accountability role designed for someone who thrives on delivering results and managing client relationships. You will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping across a diverse portfolio of small business clients in industries such as marketing, retail, professional services, restaurants, legal, and wellness. This position demands both technical expertise in QuickBooks and the ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-financial clients. You'll play a critical role in maintaining clean financials, supporting client growth, and improving internal workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Provide weekly financial updates and prepare monthly reports for clients
  • Review the work of junior bookkeepers and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform complex QuickBooks Online clean-ups and ensure file maintenance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned clients
  • Provide financial insights and strategic guidance to clients
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and team members to maintain high service standards
  • Support onboarding for new clients and assist in refining internal processes
  • Identify areas for workflow improvements and recommend best practices

Qualifications

  • 1–7 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably across various industries
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Experience with reconciliations, clean-ups, and financial report generation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is preferred but not required
  • Based in the United States
