Job summary

H&R Block in Henderson, NC is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to handle bookkeeping, payroll and client service. You will post transactions, reconcile accounts and generate financial statements to support clients' financial health.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience required.
• Experience with GAAP and standard accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
