Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or ability to obtain.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
