Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll, and outstanding client service in Port Angeles, WA. You will handle transactions, reconciliations, payroll processing, and tax forms while supporting client relationships and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience, a high school diploma, and certifications in bookkeeping or payroll. Proficiency with Xero is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
