Job summary

H&R Block in Colorado is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and attentive client service, helping communities stay financially healthy.

You will post transactions to subsidiary books and ledgers, reconcile accounts, generate and analyze statements, and prepare payroll. You’ll also handle 1099s/W-2s and communicate with clients and vendors with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP.
• Ability to interpret policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Generate and analyze financial statements
• Prepare and process payroll
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities
