Qualifications

• Live in Maryland area.

Responsibilities

• Complete bookkeeping tasks accurately and timely.
• Produce detailed monthly financial packages and reports.
• Generate indirect cost reports and dashboards for management review.
• Pull monthly bank, credit card, and payroll statements; ensure proper coding and reconcile accounts.
• Handle client monthly invoicing and contribute to internal audit activities.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.

THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR BOOKKEEPER - ACCOUNTANT

This hybrid position perfectly complements your work-life balance. It allows you to work in the office for two days and remotely for three days. We just ask that you live in the Maryland area.

YOUR ROLE:

• As a Bookkeeper - Accountant, your days are filled with diverse responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the company.
• You start your day by completing all bookkeeping tasks accurately and in a timely manner, producing detailed monthly financial packages, and generating indirect cost reports and dashboards for management review.
• You pull monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and payroll reports, ensuring proper coding of all transactions and reconciling accounts.
• You also handle client monthly invoicing, contribute to internal audit activities, and review and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.
• With regular communication with the senior accounting associate and close collaboration with the accountant, your day is engaging and impactful.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor 's degree in accounting, audit, or finance
• 1+ years of experience
• Experience as a staff accountant with a focus on month-end processes and internal audit
• Live in the Maryland area
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Being CPA certified is highly preferred.
