Job summary

Nannas Haines and Schiavo, PA seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to handle monthly client engagements in a production-focused setting. You will manage multiple bookkeeping clients, perform full-cycle entries, and produce accurate monthly statements with a focus on precision and autonomy.

Ideal candidates are power users of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, comfortable working in a hybrid on-site environment, and located in Eastern or Central time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client deadlines.
• Located in Eastern or Central time zone.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of monthly bookkeeping clients (up to 15-20 at capacity over time).
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements.
• Review work and ensure accuracy of account classifications and reporting.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify transactions (initially limited client-facing responsibility, with opportunity to grow into a more client-facing role over time).
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with firm standards and accounting best practices.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online extensively as a power user.

The firm is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their professional team.

This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a production-focused environment and enjoys managing multiple client engagements with precision and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

The Bookkeeper plays a critical role in managing the firm's monthly client accounting engagements from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and confident working within QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online at a power-user level.

This role is also a proven growth path into our Staff Accountant position for bookkeepers who want to expand into fuller-cycle accounting and, eventually, tax-adjacent work.

• Ability to step into the role with minimal training and operate independently - while still receiving mentorship and support from the team.
• Located in Eastern or Central time zone.
• Compensation: $75,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience.
