Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Accounting Manager who will primarily function as a bookkeeper within the accounting department that supports several entities. The role requires 2–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience and strong Excel skills, with QuickBooks experience essential.

The ideal candidate will be organized, capable of producing accurate financial reports, and able to coordinate year-end reporting and audits with a CPA firm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain digital files and work papers supporting financial records
• Calculate variances from budget and report issues to management
• Pay supplier invoices and ensure receivables are collected promptly
• Record cash receipts, make bank deposits and monthly payables reporting
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
• Update financial data and perform weekly soft reconciliations
• Identify issues and communicate delays to close deadlines to supervisor
• Assist in year-end reporting and audits for CPA firm
• Provide administrative support and handle special projects

Job description

Growing healthcare management company seeking bright, motivated Accounting Manager with desire for career growth. The candidate will primarily serve as bookkeeper in the company’s accounting department which maintains the financial books for several different entities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining complete digital files and work papers that support financial records
• Calculating variances from the budget and reporting significant issues to management
• Paying supplier invoices in a timely manner; ensuring that receivables are collected promptly
• Recording cash receipts, making bank deposits and monthly payables reporting
• Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank & credit card statements
• Update financial data in a timely manner and ensure it is accurate via weekly soft reconciliations
• Proactively identify, propose solutions, and/or communicate to the supervisor in a timely manner if the information is not accurate or the close deadlines will be missed.
• Assist in coordinating the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, and audits for CPA firm
• The candidate will also be tasked with completing special projects, and for providing administrative support.

Education and experience

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, or equivalent business experience
• At least 2-5 years’ progressively responsible experience in Accounting and Financial management practices
• Working knowledge in Advanced Excel
• QuickBooks accounting software experience

The ideal candidate will be computer literate, very well organized, and should have a solid knowledge of financial reporting requirements and generally accepted accounting principles
