Job summary

A travel agency in Virginia Beach is seeking motivated individuals to join as travel agents. You will create exceptional itineraries tailored to clients' needs, communicate effectively before and after trips, and book various vacation services. Full training is provided along with the flexibility to work part-time or full-time. Strong communication and customer service skills are beneficial, and personal travel experience is a plus. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access.
• Personal travel experience is a plus, though not required.
• Customer service and hospitality background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research, create, and execute itineraries for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients pre/post trip.
• Book vacation needs including flights and hotels.
• Book airline, car rental, hotel, cruises, and events per client needs.
• Communicate with clients before and after trips and handle issues during bookings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Research, Create, and Execute exceptional itineraries for clients
• Review individuals needs and wants for their vacation, to ensure you can cater a trip specially designed to meet their needs.
• Complete ongoing training to earn and maintain certification to book itineraries
• Attend ongoing webinars with vendors and suppliers, to become specialized with specific destinations
• Create quote forms for clients to assist with the right itinerary for your clients needs.
• Review budgets, and plan trips according to client's budget constraints
• Create promotional materials to utilize
• Request supplier marketing materials
• Monitor restrictions on travel that come and go
• Book vacation needs (airline, car rental, hotel accommodations, cruise, ticket/event sales, etc…)
• Effectively communicate with clients pre/post trip
• Handle issues that may arise during the bookings and/or vacation for clients
• Network with tour operators regarding packages that you can possibly offer to clients

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and be authorized to work within the US
• Must live in the US
• Must be able to effectively communicate with clients (strong sales background a plus)
• Customer Service Skills are a plus
• Must be able to maintain professionalism
• Must have a smartphone with internet access, laptop recommended but not required
• Personal travel experience is a huge plus, however not required
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality also a plus, but not required
