Job summary

The Encompass Group in Englewood, CO is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join its team, reporting to the Controller. You will own core accounting functions, support financial reporting, budgeting, and audit readiness in a highly regulated environment.

This role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and process improvements, with exposure to intercompany eliminations, monthly closes, and audits with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in regulated industry.
• GAAP knowledge, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with audits and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions including AP/AR, collections, general ledger, and intercompany eliminations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
• Support weekly cash flow forecasting, annual budgeting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Maintain financial SOPs and documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
