Job summary

Elitesi seeks a Senior Corporate Accountant in Colorado to perform and review complex accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP. The role requires independent work, strong judgment, and the ability to resolve moderately complex accounting issues to meet hard deadlines.

You will support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, prepare complex journal entries, maintain reconciliations, and assist with audits. Excellent Excel and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close in a deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Sumif/Sumifs).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Heavy support for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, including accruals, allocations, amortizations, and reclassifications.
• Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal accounting policies.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Analyze financial data and explain account fluctuations.
• Support process improvements and document accounting procedures.
• Serve as a resource to junior staff and provide guidance.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses.
