Job summary

DFM Development Services in Reston, VA, is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for Bond & Permit Release to support our growing Bond Release Services division. You will assist with documenting project status, coordinating with county and state agencies, and managing bond documents for timely releases.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in construction or real estate development, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience reading construction plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, homebuilding or real estate development.
• Strong professional communicator and organizational skills.
• Permit application and processing knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience reading construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Site visits to document project status.
• Meetings with County personnel.
• Manage and communicate with utility companies.
• Observe construction activities in the field.
• Prepare and deliver bond documents to County and State jurisdictions.
• Utilize computer software to organize project documents.
• Generate digital copies of punch lists and plans for clients.
• Support Bond Management Director and Senior Project Managers.
• Review construction plans and plats.
