Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Bond Accounting & Procurement Specialist to support 2024 bond activities, including accounting, procurement, and reporting. The role collaborates with district departments and the Strategic Sourcing team to ensure compliant procurement of FF&E and CTE goods and services.

The position, funded for 4 to 5 years, requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting and travel within the district using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with study in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred.
• Willingness to travel within district using personal vehicle.
• Experience with public sector procurement and compliance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review financial documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with policies and standards.
• Maintain records of accounting and procurement activity, including capital project accounts.
• Support FF&E and CTE procurement for bond-funded initiatives.
• Reconcile funds and maintain fiscal integrity of financial information.
• Assist in RFx processes and supplier evaluation in line with district policies.
