Job summary

Key Fasteners Corporation in Berne, Indiana is seeking General Production Associates for the 2nd shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM, Mon-Fri). A 3-month 1st shift training period is provided. You will operate cold heading machines, perform close tolerance setups, and inspect work with gauges.

Mechanical aptitude, forklift experience, and a willingness to learn are required. Compensation includes $19.75 per hour plus a $1.50 shift premium for 2nd shift, with annual bonuses up to $4,400 and comprehensive

• Mechanical aptitude and reliable attendance are required.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to shift requirements.
• Ability to read and follow process standards and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate cold heading machines to produce quality parts.
• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with minimal assistance.
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and gages to inspect work.
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift.
• Read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions.
• Start machine, monitor operation, inspect first-run pieces for conformance.
• Change tooling at changeovers and adjust as needed.

Hours: 2nd Shift Available: 3:00PM - 11:30PM / Monday - Friday

Compensation

$19.75 plus a $1.50 shift premium on 2nd Shift.

Whats The Job?

• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with little or no assistance
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift
• Must be able to read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions
• Start machine, observes operation, inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure part conforms to specifications
• Remove and install specified tooling at changeovers and make all necessary adjustments.
