Job summary

Key Fasteners Corporation, located in Indiana, is hiring General Production Associates for the 2nd shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday - Friday). The role includes a 3‑month training period on the 1st shift and hands‑on operation of cold heading machines to produce quality parts.

You will read and follow process standards, perform close tolerance setups, use precision measuring tools, and load/unload parts with a forklift. A strong attendance record and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow process standards.
• Forklift experience is preferred and can be an asset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changeovers.
• Reliable attendance and dependability critical.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single and/or multiple cold heading machines to produce quality parts.
• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with minimal supervision.
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gauges to inspect work pieces.
• Load and unload product using a forklift.
• Read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions.
• Start machines, monitor operations, inspect first run and sample pieces for conformance.
• Remove and install tooling at changeovers and make required adjustments.

Hours: 2nd Shift Available: 3:00PM - 11:30PM / Monday - Friday

3 months training on 1st Shift.

Compensation

$19.75 plus a $1.50 shift premium on 2nd Shift.

• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift
• Must be able to read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions
• Start machine, observes operation, inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure part conforms to specifications
• Remove and install specified tooling at changeovers and make all necessary adjustments.
