Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer Intern to join the Communications & Cyber Security Team in Boise, Idaho. The role is part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer, providing hands-on experience with industry professionals.

You will work with languages such as C#, C++, and Java, contribute to the software development process, and help verify requirements while learning SEL’s quality procedures and values.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in computer science or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Support SEL’s software development process
• Verify that software meets requirements
• Implement firmware/software design
• Provide support to engineering staff as needed
• Follow engineering quality assurance procedures
