Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Boilermaker to fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair steam-generating boilers and associated systems. You will read blueprints, perform welds and tube work, and conduct hydrostatic tests to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in boiler work, strong welding and tube skills, and familiarity with ASME codes. The role requires working in confined spaces and at heights, with adherence to safety standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with steam-generating boilers, boiler tubes, and pressure vessels.
• Strong knowledge of boiler tube installation, rolling, expanding, and welding techniques.
• Familiarity with ASME codes, standards, and power plant safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair steam-generating boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure components prior to assembly.
• Perform tube removal and tube replacement in boilers.
• Use torches, welding equipment, and cutting tools for fabrication and repair tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and work performed.
• Inspect boiler systems for cracks, leaks, corrosion, and other defects.
