Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Boilermaker for fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of steam boilers and tube systems. The role focuses on hands-on boiler work, welding, and inspections to ensure safe plant operations.

You will read and interpret blueprints, perform tube fitting and layout, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors on projects. Strong safety culture and ability to work in challenging environments are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with boilers, tubes and pressure vessels.
• Familiar with ASME codes and power plant safety procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Proficient with welding and boiler fabrication tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair steam boilers and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals; lay out and align components.
• Cut, shape, and fit metal for boiler tubes, drums, headers; perform tube work.
• Use torches and welding equipment for fabrication and repair tasks.
• Inspect systems for defects; perform hydrostatic/pressure testing.
• Maintain records of inspections and work performed; ensure safety compliance.
