Job summary

LEAD Staff is seeking a skilled Boiler/Heat Exchanger Technician to test and inspect boiler systems for leaks or defects, replace valves with hand and power tools, and perform cleaning of boilers and furnaces at open-air job sites and aboard ships or rigs as required.

The role requires reading blueprints, following procedures, strict PPE, ability to pass drug screen and obtain DBIDS/TWIC credentials, and a willingness to travel and work 60+ hours per week in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 8 years of boiler, heat exchanger, and valve repair experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• DBIDS/TWIC credentials may be required.
• Willingness to travel and work 60+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect boiler systems for leaks or defects.
• Replace or repair valves using hand and power tools.
• Clean boilers and boiler furnaces.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Install components and fittings in boiler drums as needed.
• Work in open-air conditions and aboard ships or rigs.
• Wear PPE and comply with safety protocols at all times.
• Occasionally travel to project sites; overtime may be required.
