Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a qualified boiler/pressure vessel helper with at least 6 months of field experience. The role requires reading instructions and blueprints, and performing boiler, tank and pressure vessel assembly, repair, and maintenance in field settings.

Responsibilities include layout, rigging coordination, alignment, welding or bolting components, and testing assemblies. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with strong safety awareness and the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and blueprints.
• Experience with boilers, tanks, vats, and pressure vessels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate reference points for foundations using straight edge, squares, transit and tape.
• Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift components to position.
• Align structures to assemble boiler frames, tanks or vats using plumb bobs, levels and turnbuckles.
• Grind irregular edges and prepare sections for fitting.
• Bolt or weld structures and sections together.
• Position drums and headers into supports and bolt/weld supports to frame.
• Connect water tubes and expand ends to drums and headers.
• Bolt or weld casings, uptakes, stacks and other parts to frame.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning with tools and equipment.
