Job summary

TEiC is seeking a skilled boiler technician to assemble, install, maintain, and repair boilers and large vessels. You will read blueprints to determine dimensions and layouts, install systems in buildings and facilities, and assemble boilers with robotic or manual welders.

The role requires physical endurance, teamwork, and strong math and communication skills for documentation and reporting. Must be able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Knowledge of materials and their properties.

• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints.
• Possess math, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written communication for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine locations, positions, and dimensions of boiler parts.
• Install small premade boilers in buildings and manufacturing facilities.
• Lay out prefabricated parts of large boilers before assembling.
• Assemble boiler tanks, often using robotic or automatic welders.
• Test and inspect boiler systems for leaks or defects.
• Clean vats with scrapers, brushes, and solvents.
• Replace or repair broken valves, pipes, or joints using tools and welding equipment.
