Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Reliability Technician in the Boiler department at our Dudley, NC mill. You will lead maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and mentor the team while coordinating with maintenance, operations and engineering to improve reliability.

You will ensure safety compliance, manage parts, schedule work on down days, and train colleagues on boiler systems, pumps, valves, steam, condensate, and lubrication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in maintenance support.
• Experience working with boilers, pumps, fans, valves, steam, condensate, fire protection systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, conveyors and lubrication.
• Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with MOE and MP2 software.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety and environmental policies and participate in safety programs.
• Lead Boiler department maintenance to maximize uptime and productivity.
• Schedule maintenance on down days and shutdowns; order parts and coordinate with suppliers.
• Inspect equipment and communicate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Provide training on boilers, pumps, fans, valves, steam, condensate, and related systems.
• Monitor process water treatment chemical inventories and manage requisitions.
