Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an HVAC Service Technician at our Dudley, NC facility to maintain and optimize plywood production safely and efficiently. This role offers opportunities for development within your role and future growth within the company.

You will lead asset strategies, improve HVAC reliability, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and planning teams. Travel up to 10% for training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with HVAC systems and loops.
• Minimum of three years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading P&ID diagrams and loop sheets.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS and compliance to identify and resolve critical risks.
• Improve reliability by developing, implementing, and executing check/adjust procedures.
• Own asset strategies for facility assets and resolve high impact issues.
• Lead daily HVAC operations and develop operating targets.
• Troubleshoot issues and review root cause.
• Ensure assets meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and planning teams.
• Develop long-term asset performance aligned with mill goals.
• Plan capital and non-capital opportunities.
• Lead or participate in capital project scope, engineering, and startup.
• Transfer HVAC knowledge to operating team and mentor staff.
• Develop and implement complete Asset Strategies for chillers and HVAC equipment.
• Travel up to 10% for training.
