Job summary

The University of Houston is seeking a Facilities Operator to maintain and operate campus high-pressure boilers and steam lines. You will starts and stops plant equipment, monitor control systems, and adjust operations to stay within defined parameters.

This role requires at least three years of related experience or equivalent education, plus a technical certification or licensing. All UH positions are security sensitive and require a criminal history check; the university is an Equal

Qualifications

• Basic grammar, spelling, punctuation
• Simple math functions like percentages and ratios
• Education may substitute for experience per job addendum

Responsibilities

• Starts and stops plant equipment such as boilers, chillers, and pumps.
• Monitors control systems and reviews logs, adjusting operations to defined parameters.
• Performs preventative maintenance on cooling towers, chillers, boilers, pumps, valves and air compressors.
• Performs other duties as assigned
