Qualifications

• 3rd Class Stationary Engineer License (Ohio) required.
• 2–5 years of related stationary engineering or power generation experience.
• Experience with steam boilers and boiler-related systems.
• Experience in high-power industrial generating environments.
• Knowledge of generators, turbines, compressors, motors, steam systems.
• Ability to read gauges, meters, procedures, operating logs, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Ability to work safely around heat, moving mechanical equipment, electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor steam boilers, generators, turbines, compressors, motors, and other stationary equipment.
• Perform routine boiler and utility system inspections (temperature, pressure, water levels, fuel consumption).
• Conduct boiler chemistry analysis and support start-up/shut-down activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and adjust controls; switch to backup systems and shut down when necessary.
• Walk down equipment and perform visual inspections for malfunctions or leaks.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and maintenance records (Maximo).
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; report deviations.
