Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Findlay, Ohio is hiring a High-Pressure Boiler Operator for a demanding 12-hour shift on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boilers, pumps, and related systems in a heavy industrial environment with strong emphasis on safety.

Base pay starts at $37.62 per hour with a night-shift differential of $0.65. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with phased payment after 1 week and 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License required.
• Able to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Drain all water accumulated in receives and separators.
• Check and maintain traps in boiler room on steam mains.
• Routinely monitor equipment.
• Take water samples and test water samples.
• Take necessary corrective actions to maintain proper chemical levels.
• Perform repairs as needed.
• Logs all changes and problems related to boiler/boiler controls.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and chemicals.
• Attend training classes provided to enhance knowledge and services.
