Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Boiler Operator in Sidney, OH to operate and maintain high-pressure steam boilers and related systems. You will monitor equipment, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 1–4 years of experience operating high-pressure industrial boilers.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on high-pressure steam boilers and HVAC/R systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using technical schematics and drawings.
• Perform mechanical repairs, pipe fitting, and light welding to replace worn components and optimize performance.
• Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and implement swift corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs of boiler operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
