Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a fourth-generation family-owned lumber and millwork leader, seeks a Boiler Operations Engineer to support boiler operations and the maintenance program. You will develop chemistry standards, implement testing, and train personnel across divisions.

Expect travel up to 40% to California, Oregon, and Washington divisions. Work with laboratories, vendors, and engineers to improve reliability and efficiency while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Navy engineer or boilerman experience with boiler operator certification and QA/testing.
• Bachelor of Science in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering may substitute for experience.
• Experience with boiler-water chemistry, corrosion, and pretreatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized chemistry requirements for boiler and cooling-water systems.
• Establish boiler O&M standards including sampling points, test methods, equipment, reagents, and log sheets.
• Translate boiler O&M standards into governed requirements, data-validation rules, and training content for company systems.
• Support field implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions involving corrosion, deposition, and system failures; verify effectiveness.
