You will monitor data, adjust chemical dosing, perform log maintenance, and support quality and food safety in compliance with USDA standards.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field.
• Troubleshoot and make on-the-spot corrections to emergencies.
• Welding, arc/heli-arc and use of cutting torch required.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Mechanical test will determine skill level.
• Able to work rotating shifts and weekends.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Responder - Level A suit qualified.
• Haz-Mat responder (40-hour level).
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• Lock-out tag-out and safe work practices trained.
• Able to bend, stoop, walk and stand for long periods.
• Climb ladders and work in confined spaces safely.
• Work from high altitudes, catwalks and roofs.
• Lift over 50 pounds.
• Work on wet concrete floors.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and production needs.
• Submit and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all boilers and boiler department equipment, operate and maintain parameters for production and processing.
• Monitor and log data, take action to maintain equipment status.
• Maintain chemical levels and logs; adjust to high operation standards.
• Interpret steam/water flow charts, track chemical usage, order chemicals as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards for all departments.
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety; ensure USDA compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
