The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Boiler Instrument & Control Technician to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boiler instrumentation, controls, and safety systems across campus steam and hot water operations. The role requires strong knowledge of boiler systems, ASME/NFPA standards, and proficiency with PLCs, BAS, and CMMS.

To monitor system performance, perform required safety testing and documentation, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and manufacturer standards. To collaborate with utility teams to support continuous, safe, and efficient boiler operations.
$27.85 - $36.20
Associate's degree in Electronics, Industrial Controls, Electrical or a related field and five (5) years of related experience is required. Work experience may substitute for the education requirement. Completion of a recognized boiler technician training program and experience working in institutional, industrial, or utility environments is preferred.
