The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Steam Systems Mechanic to maintain, repair, modify, replace, and install boilers and related equipment across campus district steam systems, buildings, vaults and outlying facilities.
You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electronic, pneumatic, and PLC controls, rebuild boiler components, interpret blueprints, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

To perform maintenance, repairs, modification, replacement, and installation of boilers and associated equipment, components and supporting equipment located in the District Steam Systems (DSS) buildings, steam vaults and in other outlying facilities on campus.
$24.05 - $31.30
High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience is required. An associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Systems/Maintenance, Electronic/Industrial Controls, or an Electrical program is preferred.
Boiler Operator License or ASOPE Class III certification or equivalent preferred.
