Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Boiler & Fire Watchperson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Qualifications

• Ability to meet established production and quality standards.
• Ability to work safely around others.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces.
• Working knowledge of boiler room equipment operation.
• Ability to manipulate 55‑gallon barrels using a barrel cart.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain boiler room equipment and safety inspections.
• Perform hourly tours to check for fire, flooding, and security.
• Assist with maintaining walkways during inclement weather.
• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Skills

Ability to read and understand written materials

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to safely inspect systems and equipment

Forklift operation experience

Basic computer skills
