Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking a Watch Engineer or Fireman. This role involves managing boiler operations and performing routine maintenance to ensure safe operations. Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least 5 years of experience with high-pressure steam boilers.

The position offers a salary range of USD $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, along with generous benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with high-pressure steam boilers.
• Valid New York State (NYS) Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Tend boilers to maintain correct pressure and safe water levels.
• Clean/change fuel oil strainers and lubricate power house equipment.
• Run the diesel generator and air compressor weekly.
• Take hourly readings on steam, oil, water, air, and AC equipment.
• Safely add required chemicals to boilers and fuel oil tanks.
