Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Hutchinson, KS is seeking a skilled Welder to fabricate boiler components and related equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will weld carbon steel plates, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with welding procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities include performing MIG and stick welding, preparing surfaces, inspecting finished work, and supporting continuous improvement. On-site role with safety-first culture and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience welding in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and drawings.
• Able to measure with tape and calipers accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding of carbon steel plates and components per procedures.
• Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces before/after welding.
• Operate MIG and stick welders and grinders.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to meet specs.
• Ensure welds meet quality and code requirements.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications and QC procedures.
• Inspect work and identify defects before proceeding.
• Maintain a safe, organized, clean work area.
