Job summary

Brooke Army Medical Center in Ft. Sam Houston, TX, seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Central Energy Plant. Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CMMS software is highly desired.
  • High school diploma; technical certificate preferred.
  • Possession or progression toward Power Plant Operator licenses and UST certifications.
  • Water distribution operator certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical tasks; pass background/NAC-LAC clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Observe gauges/meters and interpret readings for CEP/Boiler operations.
  • Adjust controls to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.
  • Log operational data for boilers, chillers, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of the plant.
  • Assist in repairing rotating machinery, steam systems, and water treatment.
  • Analyze cooling tower and boiler water chemistry (acidity, hardness, etc.).
  • Support maintenance team and perform other duties as needed.
