Job summary

Performance Pet Products in Mitchell, SD, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain boilers, ammonia and wastewater systems, and related production equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability across the plant.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, the ability to work independently or in a team, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with ammonia, wastewater, or boiler systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Willing to obtain ammonia and boiler certifications within year one.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on boilers, ammonia, and wastewater systems.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, valves, and production piping systems.
• Monitor systems and record operating conditions; adjust as necessary.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and document work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
