Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician in Sioux Falls, SD. This 12-hour rotating shift role requires hands-on maintenance of ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems and adherence to safety and food manufacturing standards.

You will perform audits, plan repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and work with operations to ensure continuous plant reliability. RETA certification and strong independence are valued as you support a night-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years in industrial maintenance or food manufacturing.
• RETA certification or strong knowledge in ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
• Experience in engine/boiler systems and electrical controls is valued.

Salary: $24-34/hour

Job Summary of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician: The Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician will perform the duties of a Refrigeration/Boiler Technician and assist other maintenance personnel on their shift. This is a 12-hour. rotating shift position

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:

• Have or be able to attain RETA certification
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follow safe work practices
• Work as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities
• Maintain open and professional line of communication with operations
• Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely & effective manner
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices
• Be highly motivated and able to work independently

Education & Experience Requirements of Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Industrial maintenance experience should include comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas:
