Ennovar Tech Services and Solutions is seeking a student IT assistant to support Boeing AeroSystems operations in Wichita, KS. The role is part-time with a 20-hour minimum weekly commitment, based on class schedules. The position involves hands-on hardware and software support, asset management, and customer service tasks.

Primary duties include incident monitoring, SOP updates, onboarding assistance for remote users, and end-user device setup. Candidates must be eligible for U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor queues for incidents or service requests and escalate as needed to level 2/3 teams.
  • Update SOP manuals with customer approval to reflect changes in the processes.
  • Assist in end-user onboarding for remote users via the LMIRescue tool.
  • Prioritize tickets by priority, track aging and open tickets and service requests.
  • Follow the approved SOP manual, including device disposal and data sanitization per SOP.
  • Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and thin clients; assist in device imaging and deployment.
  • Perform OS and software support on Windows 10 and assist with software installations.
  • Set up smartphones for end users and transfer data between old and new devices.

Job Duties
  • Monitor queues for Incidents or Service requests that requireresolution. Escalate to level 2 and level 3 teams in caseassistance is required to resolve any issue.
  • Update the existing Customer Standard Operating Procedure (“SOP”)manuals, withthe customer’s approval, based on an agreed-uponfrequency to reflect changes to the existingprocesses.
  • Assist in end-user onboarding for remote Users for those tasks thatcannot be fulfilledlocally by deskside technicians through the LMIRescue tool.
  • Prioritize work based on the Priority of the Ticket, which isaligned to impact and severity.Track aging and open tickets andservice requests. For open tickets requiring sparesandaccessories, work closely with the Customer’s asset managementteam in organizing such sparesand accessories.
  • Follow the approved SOP manual (e.g. desktop/laptop namingconventions, laptopbuilding/rebuilding checklist, surrender ofequipment).Wipe and sanitize hard drives in accordance with theapproved SOP manual.
  • Deliver devices to the Customer’s device-as-a-service (“DaaS”)vendor for disposal.Perform ticket lifecycle managementdocumenting work notes related to Incident resolutionand attachingthe relevant knowledge articles used to solve the issue.
  • Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues &report hardware issues torespective third-party vendors.
  • Provide End-user assistance in submitting Service requests.
  • Track and report the status of installs, moves adds, and changes(“IMAC”) requests.
  • Install new or enhanced functions or features: hardware, software,peripherals, andconfigurations (e.g., peripheral upgrades, systemreconfigurations, special requisition installations).
  • Perform proactive and regular checks for assets installed inmeeting rooms from a readiness perspective. Assist the level 3 teamin carrying out various tests.
  • Transfer user data on an as-needed basis.
  • Create and modify knowledge articles on issues that have beenresolved. Set up hardware for new End Users.
  • Quarantine virus from respective desktop/laptop with the Customerantivirus software as per the guidance from the Customer centralsecurity team.
  • Provide hardware support to desktops, laptops (Windows), and thinclients.
  • Fulfill software installations/changes that cannot be automated forremote installation.
  • Perform hardware imaging, deployment, and repair managementservices.
  • Provide operating System (“OS”) & standard software support(Core load, Windows 10) on desktops.
  • Install and provide first-level support on business-specificApplications, installing Applications and upgrades.
  • Perform the following when de-installing equipment: de-tagequipment, erase and dispose of data and information residing onhard drives, wipe and sanitize storage media, strip for disposal,update in the asset tracking system that the equipment has beende-installed and disposed of, and prepare the equipment to be sentto the Customer designated third party vendor for collection anddisposal, follow Department of Defense wipe process as documentedin the SOP manual, in cooperation with the DaaS vendor.
  • Follow-up with a designated third-party vendor on hardware devicereplacement where needed.
  • Steady-state asset refresh (does not include project activity ofbulk device replacement).
  • Image backup of assets for terminated Users will follow the processdescribed in the SOP manual and store such backups onCustomer-provided infrastructure.
  • Work with DaaS provider to follow Customer processes for end-userasset management.
  • Set up and configure smartphones for Customer End Users byinstalling Customer corporate Applications and transferring databetween old and new smartphones.
